Shades of Gray: Interpretation of Canine and Feline Intraoral Radiographs
Intraoral radiographs are required to diagnose and treat oral disease. Full mouth radiographs need to be obtained for every patient during a CORE (Comprehensive Oral and Radiographic Evaluation) procedure. Studies show that radiographs of teeth without clinical lesions yielded clinically important findings in 27.8% of dogs and 41.7% of cats. Radiographs of teeth with clinical lesions yielded additional clinical information in 50% of dogs and 53.9% of cats.
Join Dr. Charlier as she reviews normal intraoral radiographic anatomy, radiographic signs of specific diseases, and steps to interpret intraoral radiographs. The ‘What’s YOUR Diagnosis?’ sections include case studies for you to interpret.
